National Sanctity of Life Day
Although there is much that I disagree with our current President (George Bush) about, I was pleased to hear on CatholicLand that our President has declared Sunday (Jan 18) to be National Sanctity of Life Day. Offer up your prayers/Liturgy of the Hours/Rosaries for this cause. This is one of the reasons that I truly do respect President Bush regardless of the poorer decisions he has made.

Yes, this is definitely worthwhile. I will join you (y'all) in much prayer and in various ways tomorrow and other days as we petition the LORD of Hosts to have mercy on our nation for its decisions. Free will and choices always have consequences. I pray our consequences are merciful. (Our denomination) has an annual Sanctity of Life Sunday (tomorrow), and it's always good to see it come from the civil government, too. Blessings, and amen. I applaud Pres. Bush for making one last stand like this before Tuesday.
Word...I heard the Press Secy's last speech pointing out how Bush's legacy should stand on his saving 10 million lives through the AIDS/Disease prevention policies across the globe. Funny how I have paid little attention to that...I lost site of his efforts in that realm must admit.

We have a Sanctity of Life day as well, but I don't remember the exact day. It was a few months ago if I remember correctly.

Hey. Just listened to a great (RC) CD on the Communion of Saints. Have always believed in it in a way (Reformed perspective, Apostles Creed and Nicene Creed), but this was described in a wonderful way. Any blog thoughts on Communion of Saints?
