Tim does a good job of responding to a Church of Christ caller about the topic of original sin and their misunderstanding.

http://www.catholic.com/audio/2007/MP3/ca070511b.mp3~Joseph the Workerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07512362705041608396noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7089081638604253564.post-6732769153134269472008-06-30T21:14:00.000-04:002008-06-30T21:14:00.000-04:00Well talk to any Coc'er and they will say they are...Well talk to any Coc'er and they will say they are non protestants (I am a former one as well). There denial of original sin is astounding but it ties in, I believe, with their view on baptism. If they did believe in original sin they would have no choice but to change their stance on adult baptism and baptize children. They would rather hold onto their traditions then truth on this matter.JPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00682007915158940095noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7089081638604253564.post-56152927269039787322008-06-30T01:55:00.000-04:002008-06-30T01:55:00.000-04:00I agree with both of you. But really sad to hear how yet another Protestant sect distorts the Catholic fathers and attempts to re-write history.
___________

R.E. Aguirre
Regulafide.blogspot.comR. E. I really enjoyed reading and learning from it.

Personally, I always find it interesting to hear Protestants answer the question about how people - who have never heard of Christ - are to be saved. You said something that was particularly interesting to me,
"They obviously also think every human being in the civilized world has been exposed to the Church of Christ doctrine."

In almost any Protestant belief system there seems to be that assumption (Well, not about the Church of Christ but about Christ). When I would press I would usually get an answer somewhere along the lines of, "Any heart that truly longs for the truth, or for God, or for understanding -- will come to know Christ."

This is something I just could not understand when I was a child and going to the Methodist Church.Soutenushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01187685398897830910noreply@blogger.com
